Sometimes some of hedges can get out of hand and become difficult to deal with. The best option can be removing the old one and planting a new one.

This had happened to this customers Laurel hedge.

Hedge Planting

Over-grown Laurel Hedge

The old hedge had become difficult to deal with, becoming too tall to easily maintain.

The customer had enough and decided that it needed removing and a much simpler beech hedge was to be planted.

Hedge Planting

Removing the old hedge

We started off by carefully cutting down the old hedge and removing the stumps to create a clear area to plant the hedge.

Once the ground was prepared, the area was carefully measured out for the best spacing for the new saplings to be planted.

Once the hedge had been measured out they were planted and staked into the ground to ensure the hedge would have every chance to grow into a healthy, maintainable hedge.
