An evergreen screen can be utilised on a golf course to protect golfers from stray balls and to shade tees.
But sometimes the screen can get a bit out of hand, growing to tall and creating too much shade.
This was causing issues for the green maintenance team, having to deal with damp and moss.
The first step was to choose what height we should reduce the screen by, keeping in mind the health of the trees and to give the green optimal sunlight.
Choosing a suitable amount to reduce them by, we set to work carefully removing the crowns of the trees, taking great care not to damage the well maintained grass below.
