Today we were reducing a Robinia in Oxford. These are beautiful trees.

This was a “complete” job. We took down the tree, ground the stump and planted a replacement. It’s probably the most involved job I’ve had to co ordinate. This is why:
Firstly, the tree was in a conservation area, so we needed to apply to have it removed.
Secondly, the Council wanted more concrete proof . So we did a resistograph test which showed the tree was in decline. This is a very specialist tool when carrying out Tree Surgery in Oxford.
Thirdly, there were 4 or 5 houses to speak to to make sure there were no cars on the drives when we did the work.
The new tree was planted and will add to the aesthetic value of the Headington Conservation area for years to come.
