Why did this work need doing?
This was a long line of Christmas trees that had probably been planted 40 or 50 years ago, 1 year after the other. Now there was 8 of them and they were 60ft tall. So why did this tree work need doing in Oxford?
Firstly, the biggest one was over the oil tank, if this had failed, it would have not only broken the tank but contaminated the ground which would have been costly to clean up.
Secondly, most of the trees leaned over towards the neighbour. As the owner of the trees, if they had caused damage to a person or their property, they would be liable.
Thirdly, because of their height & the fact no work had been done on them, they were now unstable & prone to fail. If we had not done this tree work in Oxford, they my well have caused n accident.
